quickly after their supernova, they were picked up by large cluster of lumis, and because of their galaxy's proximity to the lumis in charge of the cluster who found them, they became part of the group of lumis who led the cluster. they had a different name at the time, which they don't like to mention to anyone or be called anymore. however, because of their youth and their highly different points of view to the others, meteorite often disagreed with the other lumis in charge. the others didn't take kindly to this and "put meteorite in their place" with a lot of cruelty.

meteorite is often cold and cruel themself because of the way they are treated, though they are also obedient and do what they're told by those above them. to those they can control, they do, because there's not much else in their life that they feel like they can control.

they meet another lumi named equinox, bubbly and kindhearted with a somewhat upsetting past of their own, who immediately doesn't get along with meteorite.  they constantly come across each other, and though these meetings start out being always bad, the two slowly start to learn about and understand each other. they end up becoming friends, turning to very close friends, and equinox convinces meteorite to run away from their cluster.

the two also eventually confess romantic feelings towards each other-- which equinox developed not long after they became friends, and meteorite took some time to develop and so much longer to acknowledge-- and start gay fox dating :]
