Highroller had spent the last few days practicing intensively on Jiahao's training grounds, honing their combative skill. They had learned a lot from Jiahao in these few short days, but believed there were things they needed to learn themselves.
They rarely left the training grounds. They would have stayed there all day and all night if Aubergine didn't always stop by to forcibly drag them home. 
If training dummies were real people, Highroller would be considered a mass murderer. In the days past they'd frequently have to just resort to hacking and slashing at nearby trees as consequence of clearing the entire grounds of them.
But Highroller was starting to get bored. There was only so much to learn about fighting from sacks of feathers, seeds, and other such items. 
They needed something.. different.

As Jiahao dismissed the junior warriors from his most recent lesson, Highroller stayed behind, staring at him with a gaze never faltering and a face impossible to read.
"Can I help ya with something?"
The professional warrior asked with a tilt of his head. Highroller's reply was quick and simple, voice flat and monotone as usual.
"I'd like you to spar with me."
Jiahao tilted his head.
"You sure? You've only been under my teachings for a few da—"
Highroller was quick to interrupt him.
"There is only so much I can learn from an opponent that doesn't fight back. You want to teach me? Then teach me in combat."
The larger Luminite blinked in surprise before a grin crept onto his face.
"Come on then— show me what you've got!"
