Waking up to a world of wonder

It was cold, the stars were dim, barely noticeable as the sun shone for the very last time. Suddenly it’s time had come, the death of this solar system’s sun was upon us once more as a sudden explosion occurred, everything turning pitch black for what felt like many moons. It was a normal occurrence. One embracing death in order for a new life to begin. This was the cycle of a solar system that had met the end of its life cycle, only for it to begin anew as the birth of a black hole was about to begin. 

Not that many got to witness this phenomenon happening, it feels like it’s as rare as a solar eclipse occurring, but in reality it’s a common occurrence when no one is around to witness this. As the black hole began to take its shape, a small body started to form, getting bigger over a small period of time. This was it! This was the birth of a Luminite occurring in real time. While the body will remain cold and limp for some time, this is only the first half of its birthing process. 

The body lay to rest for several years, eventually a decade passed since the newly born child took its shape. Small twitches could be seen in its tail and limbs by those who met with it, hoping to see the day when this new Luminite would wake up. But that day was yet to arrive. It took another two decades before the newly born opened their eyes. The first few steps that the little one took were challenging at first, but eventually had gotten easier after a bit of time passed.

She wandered around the small plain that she had awoken in, her tail trailing slightly limp behind her as she walked, the trail of stardust forming from beneath her paw pads as she moved. This was a new wonder for the newly awakened child, and all she wanted to do was explore everything that was around her and in front of her eyes. 

After a few occasional stumbles she was walking perfectly fine and on her way to explore a new world, one that has many new friends for her to meet, and one where she can find out the treasure that will mean the world to her. Whether she chooses to join a cluster, or to wander alone is up to her, but little does she know of what her creators have planned for her.
