By joining luminites.io, you are immediately agreeing and are bound to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. You agree to be held accountable for any of the following violations, whether knowingly or unknowingly.
This site is intended to be used by users aged 13 years old or older
In order to gain full access to the site, you must make an account. When creating your account, you are agreeing to provide us with full, accurate information such as a valid e-mail address and a ToyHouse or DeviantArt account. This is for the purposes of verification.
Do not share your login information with anyone. If your account is compromised due to reckless sharing, it is your own fault. In the event of a doxxing or hacking, please contact us and we will do what we can!
You may not create a new account to avoid ban or suspension.
Impersonating or theft of another individual or their characters/art is absolutely prohibited and will lead to a ban. If you feel someone is impersonating you or plagiarizing your work, please message our site staff and we will promptly help you however we can.
You agree to let us display your user-submitted content (artwork, writing, and other images) on our site. We do not use any user-submitted work for profit or personal gain and are happy to delete user-submitted content from our site by request.
All work you post must be your own original work. Art theft such as tracing, stealing, heavily referencing, or copying will result in punishment.
Luminites have the full right to permanently ban or suspend your account at any time without notice or explanation.
Punishments for rulebreaking may include (but are not limited to)
Temporarily or permanently banning the user's luminites.io account
Forced voiding of the user's characters without compensation
Confiscation of site items or currency from the user's account
Editing or deleting of inappropriate text or images by the user
II. SOCIAL AND SITE ETIQUETTE
This community is SFW/PG-13, meaning that sexual, suggestive, or violent artwork/writing/discussion will not be tolerated or allowed on either the site, Discord, or ToyHouse. This also applies to any "SFW" fetishes.
Minors found to be engaging in NSFW or adults found to be participating in or exposing minors to any sort of suggestive, NSFW, fetishistic, or other content deemed inappropriate will be banned immediately and have their account deleted.
Staff cannot and will not always be aware of activity outside of the Luminites community and thus cannot be held accountable for NSFW or inappropriate works that are posted outside of the site or Discord. Due to this, if you encounter a Luminites community member that is producing or sharing NSFW work within our community, please speak to one of the staff members so that we may deal with it accordingly
Harassment, abuse, fighting, aggression, or bigotry of any kind will not be tolerated on this website. This applies to both staff members and site members. Be respectful and kind to everyone.
Discussion of topics such as negative/self-deprecating remarks, gossiping, begging, venting, vagueing, name-dropping, religion, substance abuse, suicide, self-harm, and other sensitive or negative topics are prohibited on our website and Discord server. We want this to be a safe space for everyone.
In light of this, discriminatory and bigoted behavior (racism, sexism, transphobia, ableism, homophobia, xenophobia, etc.) is also prohibited and may warrant a ban or account deletion.
If you find that you have an issue with any of our staff members (inappropriate behavior, T.O.S. violations, etc.) please talk to one of the species owners/site admins privately so we may deal with the situation accordingly.
iii. currency and sales
luminites.io primarily uses a virtual currency called QuBits. No real money transactions are available on the luminites.io website.
The Luminites website has items and currency that may be traded and gifted throughout the community/website. It is prohibitedto sell/trade other users' site items or currency for real currency.
Certain items may be bought for real currency on Discord only. This is entirely optional and not required to enjoy the full luminites.io experience.
Freelancing is permitted within the Luminites community.
You may sell your commissions or YCHs for either real currency, site currency, or site items as long as they are SFW.
You may sell Luminites customs as long as buyers have the proper MYO slot and custom trait items to match the slot and item rarities you will be using.
iV. SELLING, TRADING, AND GIFTING DESIGNS
Luminites allows you to assign value to your Luminites as you see fit. This does not apply if the designer's T.O.S. prohibits this.
Be sure to read and follow the T.O.S. for any designers that you receive Luminites from.
You may not make MYOs with the sole intention of reselling or retrading for profit. If you were found doing so, it will result in immediate consequences.
Co-Ownerships will not be officially recognized by the site masterlist.
We do not monitor nor restrict how users trade or sell their characters as long as they do so in a fair manner. If you feel you have been subjected to an unfair trade (i.e. purchasing a character with no/lesser resale value when the designer's T.O.S. prohibits it), please contact a site moderator and we will do what we can.
We do not allow the selling or trading of unofficial Luminites. All Luminites being sold and/or traded within the site/community must be official Luminites with masterlist profiles.
v. DISCLAIMERS
We may revise our Terms of Service at any moment without notice. We will, however, update users on when changes have been made so everyone is clear and aware of what expectations are placed upon them. Any content posted on luminites.io may be edited, deleted, reclassified, or added to at any time by the Luminites staff with or without notice. Our services are not guaranteed to be accessible at all times, but if you find an issue, error, or bug within the site, please report it via Bug Reports so we may get on it swiftly.
