Starry-Eyed Inventor (Mechanical Evolution)
"Nebulae, your ideas... They're just..." One of the farmhands begun complaining as the young, dark furred Luminite stared back at him. He didn't seem to be listening, as though he were lost in thought. Through his mind raced inventions, robots and all things mechanical.
It appealed to him, he couldn't help be drawn to such mechanical marvels.
"Nebulae! Are you even listening to me?!?" The farmhand asked, sternly as Nebulae shook himself back to reality. Glumly looking around the bleak landscape of Sozyria. He sighed loudly, sitting up straight as he thought about what point to repeat to this Luminite.
"My ideas are too extreme?" Nebulae started, as he rolled his eyes. "Or was it 'it's too dangerous to go cutting your limbs off' again?" He glanced at the metal limb he now had in lieu of his left arm. The farmhand balked at him.
"Yes! Your ideas are too extreme! Mechanical animals?!? What were you thinking?!?" He yelled, as Nebulae seemed to zone out again, before snapping back, "a mechanical animal could do four times the work of a normal animal!" He held his paws up in a gesture of grandiosity "wouldn't that benefit you?!?"
"It's not right!" The farmhand argued back, as he got an eyeroll from Nebulae, "Animals are Integral to staying in tune with nature! Why do you insist on this mechanical mumbo jumbo?!"
"Because! It could help you!" Nebulae argued, "don't you want your job to be easier? To get done in half the time? To have a livestock investment that won't die on you!?"
The farmhand rolled his eyes, these ideas were dangerous, especially in a place such as Sozyria. Yet the boy never learned and kept up with his... tinkering. He shuddered thinking about it.
"I don't think you'll ever understand how we feel, Nebulae" the farmhand commented. "And that's a shame."
