With the autumn season in full swing, hoards of Luminites come to the cafe for a fresh hot coffee to ward off the seasonal chill. The every day employees are simply not enough to comfortably work through the long and busy days, so it's around this time where the establishment will take any extra sets of paws for assistance.
As a superhero, it was WordGirl's duty to take up the call to action!
Donning a knitted beanie and cute little scarf for the seasonal theme, the small Luminite manned one of the many registers to take customer's orders.

The first starry vulpines of her shift were a contrasting duo of light and dark. The white one bounded up to her station with a slight spring in his step while the darker one slinked behind him.
"I'd like one large Frappuccino, and one medium black coffee please!" The lighter Luminite said with a flick of his tail. WordGirl nodded, repeating the order to herself under her breath as she entered it into the machine which then churned out a receipt. "Can I get a name for your order sir?" She asked. The light colored Luminite quickly piped out, sounding slightly nervous as if he had forgotten.
"Oh, right! Aster will do just fine, thanks!"
WordGirl nodded. "I'll call you when it's ready! Thank you!" She gave the two a quick little wave before she hurried off to the coffee machines in the back.
Navigating her way through other volunteers, she desperately searched for the partner she had been assigned for work.
"Number 824? 824!" She called out the number her employer had given her to identify her partner. Over the noise of the crowd came a reply.
"Just give me a moment! This good-for-nothing scrap metal of a machine is being faulty!"
A much too familiar blonde furred Luminite came strolling over to her with an annoyed look on his face. "I swear, I could build better machines in my sleep! The technology in this place is almost primiti-"
As they made eye contact, the blonde Lumi immediately perked up slightly.
"Ah, my darling WordGirl! How wonderful for you to come and see me, and on a Saturday." His eyelids lowered as he gently wagged his fluffy tail.
The superheroine rolled her eyes at him, shoving him away slightly. "Not now McCallister. You're volunteering here, right?"
"Of course I am."
The small brown Luminite blinked. "Riiiight."
She just didn't believe it. Tobey doing charity work? Surely he had some sort of plan.
"So, you were calling for me?" Tobey asked with a smirk. Wordgirl shot him a quick glare. "Yeah, for you to do your job. We've got an order of one large Frappuccino and a medium black coffee, and you've already wasted plenty of time with your small talk."
Tobey's expression turned to a scowl as he slinked off back to the machines.

He quickly returned with the two cups of coffee, trying his best to balance them on his paws. Becky took the Frappuccino out of his paws. "Arent these supposed to come with Latte art of like, something seasonal?" Wordgirl asked. Tobey rolled his eyes at her.
"Maybe, but that's not my job."
The superhero huffed as she trotted off to go get some creamer.

Tobey stared at the white splotch on the surface of the drink.
"And what is that supposed to be?" The boy genius with crossed arms. The smaller Luminite blinked in slight confusion as she looked down at her work.
"It's a pumpkin!"
Tobey raised an eyebrow at her.
"That looks like a pumpkin alright, after being smashed with a hammer."
Wordgirl frowned slightly. Wow. She did such an awful job Tobey couldn't even lie to flatter her a little bit.
"Ugh, fine, take two!" She growled, grabbing the creamer again. She then suddenly paused as she felt Tobey's paw on top of hers.
"Here, allow me to assist you."

After a few minutes of Tobey guiding her paws, the Latte art was complete! A cute little pumpkin, complete with a carved out face.
"Wow Tobey I- Didn't know you were so skilled with this sorta thing!"
Tobey grinned as he waved a paw and adjusted his glasses.
"It's just one of many things I naturally excell at."
Wordgirl rolled her eyes, taking both the Frappuccino and black coffee back to the registers.
