Nychtispirit

i. DESCRIPTION

Nychtispirits are supernatural creatures that live, primarily, as Luminite's companions. They were initially discovered deep within the woods of Patoe and Tacus, living in the trees nearby/inside of ancient ruins. They can come in a variety of different appearances, but typically are a glowing, misty white that fades into a dull blue. Their skeleton is visible through their semi-translucent fur and skin.

They possess the ability to phase through objects, but only out of necessity, as this makes them uncomfortable. Despite how they may appear, it is possible to lightly touch a nychtispirit, though it is impossible to hold them.

It's hypothesized that nychtispirits either once were, or are a descendent of skotanychts.

ii. HABITAT

In the wild, nychtispirits can typically be found in dense forests where they live in a colony. They nest within the holes of trees or in the nooks of branches where they huddle in groups to sleep. They may also be found nesting in abandoned ruins, though this is less common.

III. ECOLOGY AND BEHAVIOR

Nychtispirits are incredibly social and curious critters who love to learn about and be involved in the lives of Luminites. Because of this, they've become an incredibly popular pet due to their friendly and inquisitive nature and their low-maintenance requirements.

Nychtispirits are capable of eating, though it's unknown how or where the food they eat is digested. They most enjoy eating fruits, insects, and small invertebrate.
