Colony inside Anstar

Myrinth is a large colony with sparse population density. It's recognized for the labor it provides for Anstar.

i. GEOGRAPHY

Myrinth is a large colony that is largely made up of Antar's largest lake - Lake Megalus. Named after its large size, this lake has made the colony of Myrinth largely uninhabitable due to its constant flooding.

Myrinth is primarily made up of flat lands and dense forests that surround the lake. These forests are mostly devoid of any ruins or evidence of previous life, indicating that the beings who lived on Anstar before the Luminites likely avoided living here for similar reasons.

Despite this, a determined group of Luminites have settled in the far north point of Myrinth by the coast. This city is known as Psaraphos.

ii. PSARAPHOS

Though notably much poorer than Polistri, Psaraphos plays a crucial role in Anstar's ecosystem. Primarily made up of fishermen, merchants, and other skilled laborers, the residents of Psaraphos are committed to their roles.

Psaraphos is primarily made up of small homes with stone-laden streets. Though they care less for aesthetics, the rustic and authentic feel of Psaraphos is often a drawing factor for Luminites who choose to move to and settle there.

III. CULTURE AND RELATIONSHIPS

Psaraphos is known for being much more isolated and individualist compared to its neighboring colony of Dioscenus. It prioritizes hard work and labor above all else, as its what they've needed to do since their conception to stay afloat. They care little for education, celebrations, or parties, and instead focus on apprenticeships continuous effort as being the true path to happiness and freedom from dependency on others.

This culture has caused other colonies to see them as uptight, leading them to be subject to harsh criticisms from their fellow Luminites. What their faultfinders fail to acknowledge, though, is the light-hearted and fun-loving side of this trouble-and-toil city.

Even though the members of Psaraphos hail work as the defining factors of a harmonious and free society, they still recognize the need to let lose now and then. Thus, it's customary for the weekends to be entirely dedicated to community, laughter, and fun. After all, they recognize the importance of community in their laborious efforts, and realize the need to reward themselves and each other for all they contribute to Anstar.
